Filter Technology ...some think it's hot some think not
This web environment is being assembled to establish a library forum in which to lodge and explore ideas and events as they may relate to the developement and applications of filter technologies.This includes the cultural dimensions of filtering technology, the backlash against filtering technology, and the reasons for developing filtering technology. This concept shall be expanded to include the examination and ramifications of the processes by which information is filtered in the culture and technologically delivered.
Even though my business partner, Jeff Koftinoff, and I have launched a series of filtering software products in particular the Internet Filter resulting from our position on issues of censorship and individual responsibility, the intention here is to establish a non-commercial www .zone for the illustration and expression of philosophies and critical commentaries as they pertain to critical areas of "Information and its dissemination".
To build an informative, original , and thought provoking reading room I request input with permission to post from anyone out there who has anything to contribute to the real, mythological or downright humorous implications of what the picture looks like for a filtered/unfiltered culture and its relationship to free speech and censorship via the technological delivery of information.
