If you want the background and the lowdown go to Seth Finkelstein's blog.

Seth seems to be the first to “break the story” or “release the story” or however blog citizen journalists like to think of themselves. He did it .As a matter of fact if you want a fairly basic course in the history of “censoreware” Copa style reading his censoreware.copa thread will do it ...His first entry is September 21 / 02. So he has been around for a while and has done a lot of work. Bear in mind he presents himself as “anti filtering” so there might be a tad of bias in that direction. http://sethf.com/infothought/blog/archives/cat_censorware.html
I have been reading the COPA Court trial transcripts and they are fascinating.

What I found fascinating is al the cross comparisons of filters specific and filtering in general. It helps me realize what a great product Jeff Koftinoff designed and implemented as the architect and engineer of our filtering products sustained over eleven years.
I have avoided all the marketing hype by selling our products largely business to business. That way we are always dealing with IT Pro's and they decide what is good ...you don't tell them.
The exception to this is our Mac Products and our Library filter for home consumers. They currently put us in touch with the “home” consumers. They fall into two categories ...protecting children and protecting people who consider themselves to be porn addicts from themselves. We do better with the former but it is now our highest priority to do a better job of the latter. We have a plan and are currently executing it.
If -2K is an excellent product. I can say this now because of the “Compared to What?” factor.
The ACLU vrs Gonzales trial and its subsequent documentation quantifies the effectiveness of filtering and compared to those stats we look good. We look better than good.
I intend to explain this in great detail in subsequent entries . One step at a time.
